Christmas Lag

Is anyone else besides me experiencing lag ?
One of the reasons I picked this shard was the good ping I had when connecting from my country, nowdays it's like I am connecting to an American shard sometimes even worse.
I have a feeling it might being caused by all the Christmas Decorations, only time will tell I guess.
