UOD Account Blocked

Can someone help me? The account of my friend (annie18) has been blocked for unknown reasons, possibly a normal expiration, but it shouldn't because it has been updated often enough. How can I reactivate it? Or where I must ask for it? Thank you.

Mmm your friend should check her email if they have sent her any information. They usually do send the reasons for things like that. But Im afraid that everytime my acc has been blocked it has been deleted :\ Due to braking the rules somehow, for false data in the acc details for example. Im not 100% sure about this so try call a adming by icq. Its usually the fastest way.

Apparently it's about false data in acc. She emailed Amdir about it. I hope they don't delete years of work and play for something like that. Any bad data can be updated anyway. Her house is still alive for now. I will give you feedback so people will know what happens at the end of this kind of problem.

If the house is still there then its good. One of my bans was because of false data and back then they didnt hesitate to delete my acc(Damn you koper) - .- But anyways I think that they have a new policy for these false data things today. Iv heard that various players of uod have got their datas updated and accs unblocked. Lets hope for the best :ThumbsUp:

Same thing here. "False data". Then Amdir replied to my friend: "I'm in UODreams Staff, you are banned from GamesNet Try to contact ufficiostampa@gamesnet.it for an explanation." So she did. The reply is: "Your account has been banned: that means that it has been deleted from our databases and it cannot be recovered." If it was really deleted, the uo account would not be blocked but inexistant and we would get a "bad user/pass" msg. Also her house would have vanished. And anyway, even if I know about this policy to check up accounts for false data at anytime, they could at least warn the player and let some hours for him/her to update data. After all it's nothing like harass people, cheat or something like that to deserve to lose an entire account of hard work and memories. I think the account is simply blocked, and will be deleted after the 2 months delay. She tried to re-register and got an error: Username _alreadyused: _alreadyexistsusername I guess she has no choice to rewrite and email again.

So they did delete it... I remember not a long time ago when bunc of russian and bulgarians had the same problem :\ their datas were updated thought.. The account has been deleted from Gamesnet database so basicly that account dont exist anymore or maybe it exists but since theres no data on it if they recover it your friend will only get an empty account without items / pgs. (This happened to my friend once.)
But hell this is UOD`s great customer service -_-

lol I know what they could say. But anyway I don't blame the uodreams staff, like Amdir said, gamesnet banned the account, so it has nothing to do with the shard's staff. I still love uodreams...and I suppose there is nothing to do except to help my friend to reforge a new account with chars with similar stuff. I doubt she will do it herself alone, it's too discouraging. I only think this post should be read by gamesnet admins, to help to change this..."brutal" way to force people to use real data. Of course it's written like that in the policies. But they do them, so why not to do a little change. Like an account suspension...I don't think it's more complicated than a ban. And this is just a suggestion.

i can understand ur point of view,but in every comunity (real and virtual ones) there are rules which cannot be broken,one is:falsa data.
Old latin's motto was: Ignorantia Legis Non Excusat (not knowing a law is not excused)
If u didnt read all the bla bla bla when u made the account,it's ur fault not their (since u said they could've told u).
However i heard that if u contact Gwineth (GN's Admin) to make her change ur data,u could do it witouth getting punished...in this case,i really dont know,cause Gm's found out by themselves (u didnt tell them).

when u register,u register with Gamesnet (EPYX S.P.A.) not with uodreams,the only thing that UOD Staff can do is:
report the infraction and punish it in game (fines,jail,bank nukking and so on),the other things such a ban,is Gamesnet Admins' stuff.

Now,i hope u can do smth about it man,cause from what i have heard this account should still exist,the only thing i can suggest u is to email again (with this kind of good and mature behaviour) the ufficiostampa or gwineth and cross ur fingers.

Thanks for your answers. But the reply "Your account has been banned: that means that it has been deleted from our databases and it cannot be recovered." is from gwineth herself. So I doubt another email to be useful, even if my friend will probably try anyway. I know it's our fault. I know about the rules, that's why I understand and only ask and suggest rather than flamming or cry for injustice :P We haven't checked back account data since the beginning of 2005 and never thought about to do it. And now, it's a bad surprise. We don't want to harrass anyone. After the next email, if it's a negative reply again, we will simply give up and I will help my friend to start again from scratch. I will post a last time later, for the ones that may be interested to know how it will end. Thanks again for your answers.

Ok my friend got the reply from gwineth. She says that italian laws force the deletion of data at the same moment of the banning, and that's why the account cannot be recovered. Although it sounds funny to me that italian laws are involved into this, I think I understand. Data on the shard itself is still there, but linked to a empty banned account on GN (it's my point of view). That's why the stuff like the house is still there but there is no way to relog on it again. We are forced to accept it, to create a new account and restart again, this time paying a huge attention at the data entered. Thanks to Lallaaa and Doomtrooper for have tried to help us.

Normally, there is not a warning message that say: "you will be banned". Sometimes you go in jail for some days and after ban, sometimes your ban go immediatley. You can't relog-in with account while it's waiting ban because this is the punishment: "all items, lost". For this reason, when you are banned, your house don't go in the status "condammned", but a Gm take your account and delete all: pg, intems in bank, intems in the house (also if in the house there are outher persone like co-owner) and house, immediatly.
