problem logging in

i made the account did the update
downloaded ultima
fresh install

but when i try to login it says 5 chars already created and an
X

if i press that it goes back to login screen..
endlesly

ok thats fixed now it hangs at entering britania... black screen nothing happens see my paperdol inv bar up ..

i tried logging into other uo servers and there its just fine nps at all

Do you have 4.0.7a client?
Do you use razor, uogateway or uod launcher?

it just hangs

and i tried ur launcher and uo gateway didnt try razor yet but i thought thats for macroing and stuf

about the client no idea.. could that be it ? i updated it with the uo thingie and that went pretty fast, but still its strange that other uo shards work well some do and some dont... and urs dont and i really wanna play on a shard with trammel : )

You can check your client version in the login panel, where you input user and pass (it's at the bottom of the window)

yea at first it said 4.0.0

then after trying to update it fails and says

Error during session
Your client may not be the most recent version.
You may be able to play the game with your current client.
Check http:\www.uo.com for help on resolving patching issues.
Click OK to play the game or Cancel to abort.

and then its version 4.0.4b

cant update i gues.. it continuesly keep giving that error
i already tried reinstalling 3 times..

Follow these steps:

- Uninstall the game
- Delete all "Ultima" folders and files remaining in the install path (make a backup copy of "desktop" folder to keep macros and settings)
- Install the game
- Launch uo.exe
- Let it reach version 4.0.7a
- Copy "Desktop" folder in the install folder (overwrite)
- Download and install uod launcher
- Start the launcher (or razor, or uogateway)

First try to delete Desktop in your UO Directory
e.g X:/Ultima Online/Desktop

If that doesnt help the probmle, reinstall the game, patch it to the latest version and connect with UO Gateway or Razor.
