Guardatevi le charts, UO è sempre stato fanalino di coda.
World of ******** (Confidence Rating: B)
Launched in November 2004, this is Blizzard’s much-anticipated entry into the MMOG market. The early data points on the chart represent reasonable estimates of worldwide subscriptions based upon the limited data Blizzard provided regarding North America accounts (750,000) and boxes sold. In February 2005 I estimated WoW had some 1.25 million subscribers worldwide; in March, Blizzard announced WoW had 1.5 million subscribers worldwide.
Ultima Online (Confidence Rating: A)
UO experienced fairly predictable growth until April 2001, where it peaked at 240,000 subscribers shortly after the release of UO: Third Dawn. Subsequently, press releases from EA consistently quoted the 225,000 figure, and the growth was flat for over a year. It is likely that the actual trend during this period was slowly downward to the 208,000 mark in December 2002. With the release of UO: Age of Shadows, UO seemed to reach new highs in 2003 to about 250,000 subscribers, but went into a substantial decline from June 2003 to June 2004. For the past few months their numbers have stabilized, and as of March 2005 UO currently has between 157,000 – 160,000 subscribers worldwide, with about 70,000 of those in Japan.
mi pare che il regolamento preveda: niente pubblicità e link ad altri server di gioco... o sbaglio?
