It would be really fun to read the guides of noobs like tom noab and tex niubbone(not that I think that they should write any guide) because it would look something like this:

"It is very important to make your enemy fizzle when he is casting a spell, so because of this we only use 2 types of spells that are very fast to cast, they are called Magic Arrow(In Por Ylem) and Poison(In Nox)(we actually have 62 other spells, but dont use them for its a waste of mana). Then to assist our fizzle tactic(noob tactic) we must use a weapon with bleed attack(preferbly a spellchannelling warfork (no malus)). Once u have that it's all very simple, cast poison on your enemy, make him start to bleed, then spam magic arrow, when he cures poison, u repoison him, and when he stops to bleed u attack him with another bleed attack. Remember to always cast Magic Arrow, it will not kill him, but u will make him flizz almost all of his spells. And when u finish mana, and your enemy still has like 50% left of his health, u run and recall away. If u casted more than 30 magic arrows you can consider yourself a winner for your enemy never hit u with 30 spells!!"


Seriously, if this is what makes a mageplayer a strong pvper I am ashamed to be one of them!

Well about the usefulness of the guides, that's beacuse I said that only 2-3 pvpers have to write a guide...because they are TRUE the best. That's also why I think that they should be voted, beacause maybe the Faction points doesn't mirror the effective stenght of a PG. About Tom Joad, I don't know his PVP strenght (I saw only the Faction points on the site) but anyway it was just to make an example. I think that vote is the best way to select a real good PVPer (as for Forum Faction Moderators).

Fatti un template da pvp, comprati 3 sop, un'armor decente e gildati o fazionati da qualche parte (non nelle gilde niubbe che vengono e falucca con la plate in valorite). Inizia a fare pvp sempre quando logghi invece di andare a destard o dai blood e vedi che in 3 (O_o) settimane capirai come si fa "pvp".

p.s. all'inzio meglio trovare un amico che gia è più esperto di te per farti dire le cose fondamentali quali spell sui tasti, spell da non fare mai, spell da fare sempre ed altre cosette.

or mabbe u can write down a mono-key macro like, recall in front of the enemy (before u may mark a rune), cast spell Paralyze (an Ex por), dismount use bloas, and recall to your headquarter so u'll be a very strong pvpeer

Mah, non so... non credo che tutti i pvpers siano disposti a dire le proprie tattiche, i propri trucchi e i propri template (su UODreams è importante studiare e congegnare un buon template)
Almeno io, sinceramente, non lo farei (non per tutti almeno): l'esperienza bisogna sudarsela facendo pratica, prove, e riprove (come ho fatto io con vari template e varie tecniche)

La guida sarebbe sicuramente utile, ma secondo me ha 2 lati negativi:

1) La vedo dura trovare gente veramente esperta disposta a svelare tutti i trucchetti del mestiere.
2) La guida sarebbe sicuramente utilissima ma secondo me usandola si leverebbe tutto il gusto del gioco: è un pò come giocare usando cheat: finisci il gioco bene e velocemente, ma ti sei veramente divertito?

1) I trucchetti infatti (che spesso sono quelli che fanno la differenza) nessuno li spiegherà
2) Non potrebbe mai accadere, fidati.. non serve a niente conoscere cosa fa questa e quella special, oppure come combinare le magie, se non si sa come e quando usarle, come dosare il mana, come muoversi sul campo, eccetera... tutte cose che non si possono/vogliono (giustamente) insegnare ma che vanno apprese da soli
(ovvero uno può anche sparare stronzate come sono scritte sulla guida citata da Sorano... ma se non si sa come, quando e perchè vanno usate non serve a niente)
