RunUO is announcing one of the biggest projects ever conceived in the history of Player Run Shards.
We have come to a point where we are ready to test our software on the largest scale possible. We have an offer from a few hosting companies, and are still entertaining offers. If you wish to make an offer please email ryan@runuo.com.
Project RunUO Test Center:
This project is designed for stress testing RunUO, and trying to maximize the abilities of RunUO. In all essence this is, RunUO vs EA Games. We are going for the largest 72 hour test to prove RunUO's power and ability as a game server.
If, you currently are a shard admin and would like to help us we encourage you to do so. We are asking all RunUO shard administrators to encourage their players for 72 hours to log onto the RunUO Test Center. We would like to see a target player base of 3000 users or more.
Hardware and hosting donations must be at least 4 PHYSICAL processors, with 4 - 8 gigabytes of RAM and a 100 MBit connection. We currently have two offers for this and as stated early will eagerly entertain more.
The following Shard's have agreed to assist RunUO and their administrators will be receiving complimentary lifetime subscriptions to RunUO.

Defiance
Shard UDIC
UO Gamers: Hybrid
UO Gamers: Rebirth

The Shard Itself:
The shard will have AOS disabled, as well as all lands other than Felucca. Other than that, it will be a standard OSI test center, you will be able to set skills and or stats, have virtually unlimited gold and reagents for your pleasure, the map will be spawned hopefully as well as possible.
And yes, it will have FACTIONS.
When:
The test will take place on June 18 - 20, 2004.
