Besides, how stupid person must be to expect someone to buy item for 25kk without looking at the item in first place as the browser opens up before he makes a bid?

I cannot even believe that there is a jail term for this kind of "offence" that cosists of 5 jail days. I personally think that question should be asked first before you throw someone in jail for 5 days for this....

But what bothers me the most is, that you would really think that i'd try to pull off this move knowing that any player can report this kind of cheating by contacting the admin or mod? Have this thing ever happened at all? If you would say; "yes it happened before" i would laugh! Seriously!

I know im nobody here to ask or tell anything, but my advice would be for you to be a little bit more reasonalble and professional when you deal with things. Not every case can be thrown on the conveyor, for you to make your job easier, some listening and thinking what WE players have to say would just make this server better place. Instead of being ignorant and acting like allmighty POLICE. Remember its a game, and many commited players spend and share their time on this GREAT SERVER keeping it nice place where to chill out and have fun together. Mistakes happen even to you as to us players, and not every case must be treated as criminal offence or cheating especially if someone is making good enough excuse explaining what most likely happened.

I'll try to answer to make you understand that even if your point may be correct there are other ways to express and manage problems.

First of all let's start with the way you chose to express your disappointment: forum
That is not the best way and this solution is not apprecciated by the staff.
If you need to resolve your personal problems you must contact any gm PRIVATELY. This is an important non-written rule.
Most of all you cant ask for your freedom, that's unpolite and arrogant. You may ask to have a revision for your judgement, that's it.

Secondly, the gm CANNOT find out if you wanted to scam anyone. They just saw that you, even without wanting to, did something which is not permitted. This is not a courtroom. You can discuss your jail (privately) and you may find yourself out of jail if you seem correct and polite just because they are not monsters nor policemen.
Here there isn't any state of police. Here there are volunteers who are not paid that make our "livings" better. It's unpolite to write what you had written in your post, it's almost an insult in my opinion.

Sometimes even the police and the law fails. You know how many innocent are set to prison just cause the evidences are against them,didn't you? This time happened to you, im sorry about that but somehow ,knowing the staff, i think that if you had contacted them privately you would have been out of jail by now.
Making public something private is not the best way to act.

Uogatis, as much as I can sympathize with you, I think both parties are wrong.
Such delicate matters shouldn't be brought into the forums, this is between you and the staff, but since that this has been made public I will say what I think regarding the issue.
You have made a mistake, voluntary or not, there should be a penalty to it.
With that said I would think 5 days of prison is a bit too much specially if the player in question is a first offender (dunno if the staff here keeps a database of first offender players, second offenders etc...)

The staff member that enforced the rule wasn't wrong, he just followed the rules, penalties and such, but maybe the rules should be made better (less strict rules in terms of punishment options and warnings that the enforcer can apply, etc...)
As a former staff member from another shard I can say from my experience that the shard rules are essential for a healthy uo shard but each case is different and as such, staff should also take into account the player's history, try to communicate with the player and base their decision on all that, not just the rules..

Overall the staff is a voluntary one, I think everyone should be a bit more comprehensive to one another and appreciate the fact we have this great shard

I agree with what you are sayin, i am being arrogant here and taking it too far without a doubt - and i appologise for that.

But, as my 1st action I DID go private, asked what happened and i was told "Dear UOGATIS, You know why i placed you in jail" alltough i didnt... Cheers for politeness sayin "dear uogaits" but other part as i said was pretty offensive... later on i asked for revision of what happened after i explained myself - i was ignored in 1st place and shortly after i was passed on to the next one becouse someone decided not to make a decision all tough he had authority to place me in jail, but probably doubted his authority to release someone while people from above is making decision
- depending on that id stay out or go back to jail - But ofcorse, Its easier to just ignore!... Anyway
In end of the day how about simply saying i can only put in jail, but i cant release anyone... and that would be fair enough for me... Naah, lets just ignore...
I was allways polite, never sweared and even if i was arrogant - it should be taken into concideration as i was ignored in first place and in the past aswell... Staff should understand that we all spend our precious time on this BEAUTIFUL shard with everyone.
Besides even if staff is volunteering for positions that they hold, this is not the correct attitude - im talking about ignorance... without mentioning that this aint the 1st time and not just with me... There are MANY CASES of similar attitude with many players known to me.
As commited player to uodreams have atleast some tiny attention as being member of staff, not just washing your hands by passing me on to the next one, and ignoring my questions. I didnt much, i asked for simple answer... anyway... i dont feel like this will make any difference...
Ill just roll my dice in jail...

If you had paid for the service you may be right but this place is totally professional free. It is made by people like you and me. Being not answered doesn't mean being ignored. You need to give people time and not your time, just normal time. Usually it isnt longer than 24\36h. If someone doesnt answer write to the admin (AMDIR).

By saying Ignorance, i mean that messages that has been sent are being opened and answered - just that messages contain questions that are not being answered.
