Windows Vista Beta 2 available..

Microsoft ci presenta la Beta 2 di Windows Vista che dovrebbe arrivare agli inizi del 2007.. Incuriosito sono andato a visitarmi la pagina web e con stupore, ma non troppo dato che di Microsoft si tratta, ecco cosa ho letto (che è poi il nocciolo del thread):

Getting ready for Windows Vista means choosing the edition that's right for you and ensuring that you have the right PC to enjoy the experiences you want.

Esser pronti per Windows Vista significa scegliere l'edizione che è più consona per te ed esser sicuri di possedere il PC adatto per gustarselo appieno.

La mia domanda spontanea e successiva a questa piacevole lettura è stata: "Ma che cosa (càzzo) significa?". E la risposta non ha tardato ad arrivare:

Does buying a Windows Vista Capable PC mean that I will receive a free upgrade to Windows Vista?

No. A PC that is Windows Vista Capable or Premium Ready means that the PC is ready for an upgrade from Windows XP. You would still need to purchase the edition of Windows Vista that you want to install on your Windows Vista Capable or Premium Ready PC.








Che tradotto, e molto riassunto, significa:
Per poter usare Windows Vista, il PC deve essere predisposto al Windows Vista Capable or Premium Ready PC (che è il logo mostratovi a inizio thread). Tale logo vi permetterà di upgradare da Windows XP a Windows Vista.
Alla domanda "può l'experience variare da PC a PC?", essi rispondono "Si', poiche' Windows Vista è il primo sistema operativo che si basa interamente sull'hardware su cui è installato".

Ora, è lecito chiedersi... Ma degli altri PC o dei PC che non sono "Capable", che ne sarà? Per poter usare Windows Vista, sarà NECESSARIO, cambiare TUTTI QUANTI il PC?

Non ho le risposte, ma credo di poterla immaginare, tuttavia c'è da dire che il "GetReady" compare solo su microsoft.com e non su microsoft.it (se può significare qualcosa). Ricordate Palladium? Stiamo forse per iniziare..? E che ne è della causa in corso per posizione dominante e monopolio?
Ed un'altra cosa mi puzza/incuriosisce.. Se io comprassi un PC Windows Vista Capable, per poter passare a Vista, dovrei NECESSARIAMENTE comprarmi anche Windows XP?

Ah, quasi dimenticavo... Se vedete le immagini di sopra di mèrda, è perchè Microsoft ha deciso di aggiornare tutte le sue immagini a PNG (quelle di sopra sono prese dal loro sito ufficiale)..............

Era pure ora. Consiglierei di cambiare browser, se vedete male i PNG.

Non è Palladium, è questione di marketing.

Anche se inizio a vedere pubblicità di PC pre-assemblati da compagnie che si vantano di usare solo software Microsoft originale, e ti credo, dato che leggendo bene ci si accorge che montano dei Pentium D.

il mercato americano deve precipitare nel baratro.

Si, è senz'ombra di dubbio marketing.. Il problema è quanto ci si sta spingendo oltre.. Già Microsoft di suo è sufficientemente invadente, ci manca solo più la trovata del "Windows Vista? PC Vista Capable!" che tutto assumerebbe una piega MOLTO sgradevole.
Un informatico sarebbe costretto ad aggiornarsi con 'sta menata, per poter sopravvivere (sempre per il discorso che Microsoft è invadente)..
Ovviamente potrebbe anche finire tutto in un mega flip-flop, ma dubito fortemente.. e ovviamente finchè non è in circolo, si posson far solo supposizioni..

Si chiudono sempre di più a riccio invece di fare quel che la libera concorrenza propone..ma d'altro canto, l'utenza ce l'hanno.. eccome se ce l'hanno :\

Non è riportata la voce GetReady su microsoft.it, per caso qualcuno sa se varrà pure per noi :\?
